Okie doke...here's more on Matt. haha He's a computer engineer at a nuclear power plant up in Huntersville on Lake Norman, which is in North Charlotte. (I live in South Charlotte; in a town called Matthews). He is 28, loves the Lord, and is a NC native. I got to meet the rest of the fam this past weekend, as we went to his hometown and back to the lake for the 4th. I got grandma's "stamp of approval" haha ... she was exactly what you think of when you think of southern grandma's. Super cute. Matt and I will be heading up to Pittsburgh this coming weekend and he will get to meet Sue and Jon and fam. I'll finally get to meet Addy, too! In about 2 weeks, we are flying out to Idaho, actually, so he can meet Heather, Paul and fam. Should be fun since the only place out west he has been to was California for business. Though, he has travelled much more overseas. Fun, fun. So, that's the scoop. :) And yes, I am very, very happy. :)

The lake

This past weekend, Matt and I went up to his family's lake house. I thought this pic was cute. :) The others are random; one we took of ourselves and the other was when my parents came down to visit. Fun, fun. :)

Quick update. My first year is officially over! Overall it was a great year full of blessings all around. I'm excited to be coming back next year and feel like I now know what's expected and what to teach! I absolutely adored my students and love teaching 2nd grade. I'm just gonna bum over the summer for the most part. I have to attend a conference in a couple weeks, will travel to Pittsburgh for a weekend, and then up to visit my new baby niece. Before I know it, we will have to return...Aug. 6th.

Hmmm, Sue and Jon had a baby girl, Addy. I can't remember if I mentioned that in the last post...since I am awful at updating this thing. haha

The guy (Matt) I'm dating is just fabulous! :)

I'm alive and well!

Why, yes, I am alive and well! haha I'll just put up some pics I guess. haha I home from work today sick with strep. blah! I guess I can't complain too much since this is the first time I've been sick all year...and I might as well use my sick days since they will disappear. :) We have about 26 days left of school; hard to believe! I will hopefully be working at Ann Taylor Loft over the summer...cheers to the fabulous discount!!! I'll be going to the beach at the end of May. yay!

My dad "retired" in April and we were all able to go home and celebrate with him. It was quite the emotional time for us...much moreso than I expected. That weekend, we also celebrated Levi's 2nd birthday. He's so darn cute. My new niece, Adeline Jayne was born on the 25th. She's absolutely beautiful. Hopefully I will fly up to PA to see her over the summer. Oh, and I got to see Sheepy a couple weeks ago! Oh, and I kicked the firefighter to the curb but am now kinda dating this other guy. tee hee. Have a great day!

So I spent $135 today on an oil change. Yes, I was had. Want to ask how the rest of my day was?! Yeah, I didn't think so. Cheers to tomorrow being a new day! :)

Imagine that, he does have a name! David. He's 31; just turned it a couple weeks ago. He is tall, dark, handsome, and muscular...you'd have to be if you're a fireman. : ) Cheers to wine and me ordering a $15 glass of it. : ) Heck, he's paying! haha No need to DTR because it has been; we're dating and if it goes further I already know that we talk about it. I'm cool with it. Probably hard for you all to understand since you are married or have kids, but I'm cool with just dating him. It's not the Geneva bubble anymore. haha Many people just date. : ) I'm in absolutely no rush, and as I told my mom, I still see myself getting married at 30. haha Anywho, I will see him tonight for cheesecake lol ... and then some wine... lol Any other questions?!

Okay guys, you crack me up. I'm really not sure what you're looking for. :) We've been dating since I was back from Thanksgiving. It's truly nothing serious; we're just dating. We met at church; though he first noticed me back in August at this thing called CharlotteOne, (look it up on the internet!) before I started going to the church I'm currently going to. So that was funny when that came out. Anywho, he's a firefighter for the city of Charlotte, and is captain at a volunteer dept. south of the city. He has a quirky sense of humor, which of course is fabulous. haha What else do you want to know?! He didn't get thrown by the curb, Beth haha. It was a close call but was miscommunication on the fact he had to work all weekend. They have such goofy hours....last night he didn't come pick me up for dinner until 8. haha The whole hunger passes thing starts setting in at that point. :) We went to the Cheesecake factory and then to a wine bar afterwards. Cheers to that! We'll enjoy our piece of cheesecake tomorrow night. haha :)
Anywho, that's basically it. I really don't know what else to say. We're just dating and he's technically not my boyfriend ...it's a little messed up because it seems that way. haha

Okay, so technically I should be posting about my birthday month and all that jazz since I was tagged, but that looked like entirely too much work. hahaha I did read about us August babies and liked most of what it had to say about us. :) So...instead of putting up that post, I'll be random and tell you what I am currently doing. :) (Natalie...you did tell me to write about nothings, so that's what I'm doing!) I'm curently sitting on the floor in front of my coffee table, listening to old school Tracy Chapman (cheers to fast car!), smelling my yummy sparkling cinnamon yankee candle while staring at my new beautiful rod iron hurrican vase that I got today at pier one ... yes, why I'm not burning that one, I'm not so sure! I just ate a bowl of wedding soup and some pretzel snaps. Cinnamon and sugar pita chips later on tonight. hahaha I had Cheesecake factory peanut butter cup cheesecake this past weekend. yummo. I'm surrounded by school textbooks which I should be reading so that I can actually teach my children tomorrow....however, instead I am writing this ridiculous blog about nothing. Hmmm; it's currenly 60 degrees outside and we had another Carolina blue sky today. Cheers! Umm, 60's and 70's the rest of the week. I saw someone wearing a Peanuts M&M's jacket today. Yeah, I'm not sure what he was thinking when he wore it, yet alone bought it! haha Maybe so I could laugh and write about it in my nonesense blog. I bought another bottle of wine today at Trader Joes for 3 bucks today. I added to my ridiculous amount of wine considering I am one person here! I currently have 5 pairs of shoes right by my front door. All 5 are black, 4 are stilletos that looks absolutely identical LOL and one pair of ballet flats. Yeah, I should probably put them in my closet. I think I'll do that and put an end to this nonsense. Until next time ... Cheers!
